Moyra Riley
A relative newbie with "Clayamies", Moyra just discovered polymer clay in the fall of 2007. Having found her passion in jewelry making, Moyra wasn't satisfied with the endless array of spectacular beads and findings on the market. Sometimes the perfect component just was not to be had. Polymer clay to the rescue!
With a background exploring many creative art forms, particularly pottery, Moyra had never quite found IT until her journey into jewelry and polymer clay began. Now, at 42, she finally knows what she wants to be when she grows up!
Artistically, Moyra has been inspired by the work of potters Darlene Keffer, Chandler Swain, and Christina McCarthy. Their expertise in combining colour and form to create art that is sometimes functional, sometimes whimsical, but always beautiful is a state to which Moyra aspires. More recently Moyra has come to admire the work of Gera Scott Chandler, Grant Diffendaffer, Eni Oken, and just too many fabulous jewelry artists to mention!
